Thunderkick Casino Games To Go Mobile?
February 16th, 2015We’ve been hearing rumours along the grapevine that Thunderkick will be moving into the world of mobile casino games. But when, which slot games, and is it true?
You probably won’t know the name Thunderkick off the top of your head.
They are a brand new casino software who started creating online slot machines this time last year. At last count they had a total of 12 slot machines to choose from.
We haven’t spoken about them much (other than to say that Casumo and Vera&John added Thunderkick), mostly because they’re not available on mobile phones or tablets.
But that might be just about to change. As we’ve discovered that two Thunderkick casino games are due to be made available for Android and iOS mobile devices in the spring of 2015.
What that means, whether we should be excited, and who will get them, is exactly what we’re trying to answer.
Best Thunderkick Casino?
Mr Green is beautiful and generous, with 10 free spins no deposit + 350 in bonus
How reliable is our gossip?
On a scale of ‘1 = Chinese whispers’ to ’10 = Thunderkick told us themselves’, it’s about an 8.
We recently attended one of the largest gaming conferences in the world in London. There we spoke with Nyx Gaming group.
Nyx is the mother company who creates NextGen casino games. But whilst Nyx started it’s life as a means to get NextGen games in as many online and mobile casinos around, they’ve since grown.
Now they provide all sorts of games to all sorts of gambling sites.
For example, they currently have deals with Elk Gaming, Aristocrat, iGaming2Go and Thunderkick. They’ve recently agreed to distribute Bally games as well.
Think of them as your local newspaper boy, who originally only gave you ‘The NextGen Daily’, but now provides you (or the casinos you play at) with a choice of different boutique publications.
They are planning on releasing the Thunderkick mobile slots
And so yes, they have stated that in Q2 of this year (that’s 2015), we are going to get two Thunderkick games on mobile.
Q2 just means ‘quarter 2’, which if you divide the year in four, makes it April/May/June.
No, it’s not massively specific, but it’s something. And if Nyx say they are coming, then they are coming.
Not till spring? Why should we care?
Isn’t getting new mobile casino games exciting enough as it is? Come now, you spoiled baby. More games = more choice = longer play time on tablet and phones.
Not good enough?
Fair enough. The reasons you should be excited are two-fold:
- This slots provider is fast becoming incredibly popular with players. If you haven’t had a chance to play, then start. We predict they are only going to get bigger.
- The two games they are starting with are very interesting indeed.
For point one, you can either go to Leo Vegas online casino and start playing, or head to the Thunderkick website to have a look at the free play version of all their online slot games.
We are going to tell you a little more about point 2.

What to expect from the Thunderkick games
The first two on mobile will be brand new games that were recently released in late 2014.
Which means that come spring 2015, they won’t be very ‘new’ anymore, but they are two of the most exciting games in their current selection, so it’s worth looking into them a little more.
Small note: we don’t know which will come out first, or even if it will be together or months apart.
The Arcader slot
When you load it online, Arcader looks cool.
Which is ironic as it’s basically an 80’s retro style game, so it should look old. But with those monoliths rising out of a foreign world, it brings a smile of childish glee to your face if you’ve ever experienced the dawn of computer games.
With 15 paylines, this is a pixel happy fruity that brings you straight back to the arcades of Tron fame.
It comes with an expanding and normal wilds in the base game, which are fun enough, but it’s the free spins and click me bonus that brings the big wins.
It’s, at best, a mid to low volatility slot, in as much as you’ll be able to play for a long time, even on a small budget.
But there are some hopes of outstanding wins if you get 4 or 5 of the bonus symbols, giving you bigger multipliers in the bonus features (up to 9x on the free spins).
The Flux slot
Thunderkick’s answer to Starburst, though it’s clearly heavily ‘based on’ NetEnt’s most famous game, Flux still manages to bring a few surprises.
It’s 15 paylines and comes with stacked rather than expanding wilds. It’s got that sci-fi gem bursting look and feel about it, though far more simplistic in terms of graphics.
That’s ok though, much like Arcader, it gives it a retro style that’s draws you in.
And what we really loved aboout it is what they’ve done with the free spins.
Here you have a choice of three bonus games: you can either play with the current set of reels, but it pays both ways. Or play with 3 extra rows of symbols, or play so it pays both ways and you get 3 extra rows.
Why would anyone choose anything but the last option? Because you get less free spins. Still, it’s pretty exciting stuff and we are curious how it will render on the smaller mobile phone casino screens.
Where to start playing Thunderkick games online
You have a choice of three top casinos to choose from.
- Leo Vegas: with 200 free spins + £$€700 in bonus money to keep you spinning. (more for some countries)
- Mr Green: 10 free spins to start + £$€350 over four deposits
- Casumo: 100% up to €300 + 20 free spins on Starburst as the cherry on the cake.
Other than the two games we’ve just mentioned, we also recommend you check out Birds on a Wire and Esqueleto Explosivo.
They are lower in volatility, but equally fun, and just a little bit hilarious.
