The Top 6 Slot Games You Will Be Playing In March 2018
February 25th, 2018Welcome to a new series a post we call ‘Let Them Play Slots’, where we look at the latest releases that will keep you hooked and the upcoming releases to look out for in March 2018.
This isn’t the first time we’ve written about new games, but usually, we like to look back at the slots that grabbed our attention, but never forward.
So we’ve changed the format a little. Instead of 6, 7, 8 or more games that we quite enjoyed, we’ll give you our selection of the top three slots we absolutely loved.
And then, just for fun, we will also give you the three new mobile casino games you should watch out for that will be released in March 2018.
Because the best (and worst) part of life is the surprises you get along the way.
The top 3 mobile online slots out now
Turns out, we kicked ourselves in the nuts when we decided only to showcase the top three slots of the last couple of weeks because boy were they some good ones.
NetEntertainment studios, in particular, were on a massive slot drive, creating the beautiful Asgardian Stones slot set in the mythological Norse city.
But it wasn’t quite good enough to impress us.
Still, that’s not the only game they released; oh no. They created the Witchcraft Academy slot exclusively for Leo Vegas casino, and then went back and released three old games on mobile; including Ghost Pirates and Space Wars.
Some winners, some losers, some to try anyway.
The NetEnt mobile slot EggOMatic (it had lived online for a few years now) is brilliant, and we were tempted to add it to the list, but we figured this was the time for newer slots to shine.
NetEnt weren’t the only ones to lose out though: the Microgaming Lucky Little Gods slot did nothing spectacular to impress us, and Ancient Egypt by Pragmatic Play just copied an old familiar formula.
Our toughest decision was between the IGT slot game Elephant King and Thunderkick’s The Falcon Huntress; if there had been a fourth place, those two would be fighting tusk to claw to steal it.
If you have a chance, try them anyway. The graphics don’t quite match the games below, but the gameplay is fun.
3. Williams steals our heart with Monopoly Mega Movers
Another Monopoly casino game? Really? Hasn’t this this slot theme been beaten to death, and then zapped with electricity to make it live again, only to club it to death in a raging inferno?
That’s a maybe, but it’s hard to hate such a fun familiar theme of the family board game of our childhood. Who hasn’t played Monopoly at some point in the past? Even if it was Game of Thrones / Fifty Shades / Dr Who Monopoly…
You will need to be able to make a minimum bet of 0.75 a spin in order to really enjoy this game as you then trigger the extra bet, and with it, extra wins.
But Monopoly Mega Movers slot has the potential to make anyone a money tycoon, with an in-game Jackpot of up to 100,000 in cash, tons of wild symbols, and up to 100 free spins.
2. The Simple Quickspin Northern Sky will surprise you
We love bonus games and bonus features. We can’t help it, there’s something about getting lots of different games that keep things interesting.
But at heart, slot machines should be simple; you spin, the symbols line up (or don’t), and you win (or not). That’s it.
And Quickspin game studios know this better than anyone, creating games that focus on one feature and pumping up the excitement by a thousand percent.
In the case of this Northern Sky online slot it’s creating a re-spin on a win, and giving you more re-spins for as long as more winning symbols show up.
It’s like all that made Jack Hammer great but set against a beautiful modern northern light. What’s not to love?
1. Win up to 9,000 times your bet in Gem Rocks by Yggdrasil
So far, this is easily our favourite Yggdrasil Android game of the year, and we’re not just saying that because it’s got a ridiculously high in-game win.
Ok, maybe we are a little, but you can’t deny that this Gem Rocks video slot is well done, and well thought out.
With avalanching wins giving you free mini-free spins, as winning symbols disappear and are replaced, giving you pure value for money and a chain reaction of wins.
Add that if you get enough chain reactions, giant rock monsters show up to create blocks of symbols and guaranteed wins, and you’ll have a huge smile on your face by about spin 5.
The top 3 mobiles slots to watch for in March 2018
We’ve spoken about the new games that have been out in the last couple of weeks, now how about looking at the ones that will no doubt surprise you come March 2018.
For one, there’s a beautiful selection of games coming up, and we’ve got videos for… well, most of them.
Because if there’s one thing we like to do it’s waste time watching YouTube videos at work. You’re welcome.
3. Will it be Wacky Races or Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours?
Ok, ok, we know we are cheating, but technically both of these games are made by Scientific Games who own both Bally and Barcrest slots (create each respectively).
The new Rainbow Riches slot machine is exciting because it’s freaking Rainbow Riches: it’s in every casino, every pub, every gambling house all over the world. And if it isn’t it should be.
The point is, the brand is there, it’s big, it’s famous, it’s going to do well. However, it’s a big bet game, which means it won’t be accessible to everyone as it asks you to bet €$4 to €$10 a spin to make the most of it.
That’s why our money is on the 1960s throwback the Wacky Races slot game being the better of the two games. With 5 potential bonus features, and 4 in-game jackpots.
We’re not always right, but we are rarely wrong. Watch this space.
2. Expanding wilds hit the Hotline slot by NetEnt
We know NetEnt slot games are hit and miss these days but they are more hits than miss, lets be honest.
At least, they are rarely boring, and the Hotline casino mobile game looks anything but.
Set in Los Angeles circa 1980s, this is all bright brash charm, with the police hot on the chase of a femme fatale.
But the real draw is the fact that this is one of the first NetEnt phone slots that allows you to buy extra features.
Specifically, you’ll be able to bet more to get more ‘hotlines’ – ie. more lines where if a wild symbol shows up, it will expand to cover the whole reel.
How well will this work? Who knows, it’s a first for this provider. But we love the NextGen superbet slot machines, so there’s no reason to think NetEnt can screw this up too badly…
Is there? Time will tell.
1. Volcano Riches by Quickspin is out March 13
Two Quickspin games in one post? This casino game software must be doing something right.
Or maybe we were so impressed with Northern Sky, we figured that the Volcano Riches slot will be worth exploring.
It helps that this Polynesian casino game has a little bit of a violent side, as wild symbols literally pro-create on screen in a burst of lava.
As usual, they keep things simple with 5×4 reels and 40 paylines where the big wins come thanks to a whole host of stacked symbols and volcano wilds.
The good news here is that the minimum bet will be a low 0.20 a spin up to 100, but without sacrificing a magnificent top win of 1254 times your bet.
If it’s anything like the Quickspin slots of late, we suspect you’ll be bowing down to this fiery goddess in no time.
And if you can’t wait till then, why not try Northern Sky or the Pied Piper slot by the same provider? You’ll find both, and so much more, at the always brilliant Leo Vegas casino.
